Choosing the Right Frame for Your Art

This post contains affiliate links. I get a (very small) commission when you purchase from the links below. I only recommend items that I myself use in my home and business.

When it comes to displaying your artwork, choosing the right frame for your art is essential. Not only does it help to protect and preserve your art print, but it also adds a unique touch that can help to enhance the overall look of the piece. The right frame can also help to draw attention to certain elements of the artwork, while making sure the colors and textures remain vibrant.

With so many frames available on the market today, it can be overwhelming to choose which one is the best for your custom art print.

Not to worry, I’ve done the heavy lifting for you!

I have handpicked a couple of collections from my favorite brand to help you find the perfect frame for your artwork. Whether you’re in need of a contemporary, minimalistic frame that will showcase your work, or a metal frame with modern flair, I’ve got your back.

My Favorite Frames

My all-time favorite frames are from the brand Frameworks. Their frames hit the trifecta: they are well-made, affordable, and available on Amazon Prime. Frameworks offers frame sizes that accommodate all of the print sizes that I offer, which is another reason why I love them!

Here are the two frame collections I’m using now in my home and business

Metal Frames

If you’re looking for a modern way to display your artwork, look no further than Frameworks’ selection of metal picture frames! You can choose from a range of sizes and colors, including gold, silver and black – so you’re sure to find the ideal frame for your print. Metallic accents, particularly gold, are back in home design trends. This frame collection is the perfect way to inject a hint of elegance to your decor.

Wood Frames

Frameworks offers a wide range of wooden frames to make your artwork look stunning. There are six distinct colors to choose from, so you can effortlessly find the right frame that will match your art piece and add the finishing touch

To Mat or Not to Mat?

I love the look of a classic white mat. I think it adds that extra touch to a framed print. Keep in mind when you’re frame shopping to always make sure the frame opening size is the size of your print. For example, if your print is 8” x 10”, the frame may be an 11” x 14” with an 8” x 10” opening. That is what you’re looking for! When you’re frame shopping online, you’ll notice some frames make it super clear what the opening size is and others have it written in the small print.

Bonus! Both of the Frameworks collections I recommend have mats included.

Conclusion

Don’t let choosing the right frame for your artwork be a daunting task. Have fun with it! Whenever I’m in doubt, I buy a couple of frames to bring home with me. You can always return the other one or use it for your next piece of art.

Do you have a favorite frame? Leave it in the comments! I’m always on the hunt for beautiful frames.

Until next time, happy framing!
